Santa’s magic

Before Christmas parents are busy preparing food and children are bored.
– Mum, what shall we do? asks Fitty.
– Make some origami, suggests mum.
– Great idea! agree the children.
The piglets search for some paper. They find a lot of paper in the cupboard.
– Wow, look, so many colours! says Fitty.
– I want to make a hippo! shouts Japy.
– I want to make a giraffe! says Rie.
– I want a lion, says Hairy.
– And I want to make an elephant! adds Fitty.
– Let’s search for the intstructions on the Internet, suggests Rie.
– Yes, cool idea. I know a nice website, look, exclaims Japy.
The piglets start to make origami. It is hard. Soon the figures are ready.

The pigs take toy palms and make an African bush for the figures.

– It would be cool if these figures were real, says Fitty.
– Let’s write a letter to Santa, says Hairy.
So they do it, Santa can see it in his magic glass ball and the figures become alive.

– Wow, thank you Santa! they shout.
The children play with the animals. But the animals are sad. It is too cold for them. The children are worried.

– Let’s write a letter to Santa, and ask for help, suggests Fitty.
– We can’t. We haven’t got any more wishes. We can’t wish for presents too, says Hairy.
The pigs are even more worried. But Santa can see everything and he helps the piglets. He moves the animals to Africa and enlarges them to their true size. They are warm there.
The piglets stay alone and sad. But they are glad that the animals are happy in Africa now.
Because they are good, empathic children, Santa brings them presents, anyway.
The piglets are very happy.

This story was made up by my student Wojtek.
The photos were taken in his room.
Thank you Wojtek!
