This is not a story for children, it was written by a teenage girl and is sutitable for teenagers.

Pepi is in Sylvencia’s office again.

– So Pepi, how are you today? starts the therapist.
– So so.
– Have you been to a party?
– Yes… but it was a small meeting.
– Ok. How was it? Did you drink alcohol?
– No. I didn’t, but all the time I was sitting on the chair and thinking about it.
– About drinking?
– No, about the chair!
– And what?
– And nothing. I didn’t talk to anyone. Nobody approached me. It was a disaster!
– Did you know anyone there?
– Only the host. But she was busy all the time.
– Ok, let’s leave it for now and practise something else.
– All right, says Pepi in a discouraged voice.
– Close your eyes. You are back at that party. What can you see?
– A group of pigs talking and laughing.
– Approach them and talk to them.
– I don’t know how.
– Ask them if you can join them.
– No! I am scared!
– Scared of what?
– I’m scared that they will say “no”.
– Just try.
– Ok, says Pepi with trembling voice.
– They said “no”! she cries after a few seconds.
– Uh-huh. And what did you do?
– I went back to the chair. It was terrible!
– Why did they say “no”, what do you think?
– Because I am ugly.
– Ugly? How do you know that?
– I look in the mirror!
– I see. And what does your boyfriend think about it?
– He isn’t my boyfriend anymore!
– But he may be again.
– I hope so.
– If he wanted to go out with you he must have liked your look, don’t you agree?
– Maybe…

– Ok Pepi, I have got another homework for you. Prepare a piggy-bank and ask your 10 friends to write with capital letters on a piece of paper, what they think about your look. They can be honest because you will not know who wrote what. Can you do it?
– Y..e…s. I think so, but what if they write that I am ugly?
– Bring the piggy bank to the next meeting. We will break it together and read together. If anything is wrong we will talk it over.
– Ok… I will do it, says Pepi and sighs.
– So thank you for today and see you next week.
– See you Sylvencia!
