Valentines reconciliation

This is not a story for children, it was written by a teenage girl and is sutitable for teenagers.

It was Valentine’s Day. Pepi missed Flatty. She called him but he didn’t answer. She texted him but there was no answer as well. She felt ignored and miserable.
Some time later Cocky called and invited her to a restaurant. She agreed because she didn’t want to be alone on Valentine’s Day.

In the restaurant Cocky didn’t seem so attractive and didn’t say anything interesting. He gave Pepi an artichoke which was quite extravagant but Pepi didn’t like it. The food wasn’t very tasty either.

Cocky asked her why she had a wry face. Pepi answered she didn’t feel good. Cocky got angry that she was wasting his time. Pepi was a bit shocked. Then Cocky called a waitress and when she brought them the bill he told Pepi to pay for herself. Pepi couldn’t speak. Her eyes widened.
– I…, I…, I have no money on me, she stammered. Then Cocky stood up and caught Pepi’s dress near her neck. Pepi started to scream and suddenly Flatty appeared out of the blue. As a trained policeman he overpowered Cocky in one move. Pepi fainted.

Waitresses, other guests all came to watch. Security took Cocky away. Flatty paid for the food and took Pepi to another restaurant. When Pepi recovered after her shock she thanked Flatty.

– How did you get there on time? she asked.
– Uhm… I was coming back from work and I saw you with Cocky. I got jealous. Today is Valentine’s Day! I followed you and observed through the window.
Pepi got a bit angry.
– Yes, it’s Valentines but you had dumped me and you didn’t answer my call nor text message.
– I was at work! And besides I didn’t walk out on you.
– Didn’t you? You told me to go to a therapy if I wanted us to be together again.
– Yes, but it doesn’t mean, you can go out with somebody else especially on Valentine’s Day.
– Why not? You didn’t call me.
– I wanted to invite you somewhere.
– When, tomorrow? You should have called me yesterday.
– Yes, I should have but I was afraid.
– Afraid? Afraid of what?
-That you would be angry with me.
– I am angry now…
– I have saved you!
– By a chance!
– He has almost hit you!
– Stop it, you are cruel! cried Pepi.
– Are you defending that clown? Have you been dating?
– Of course not, he is a clown.
– I will never understand women, sighed Flatty.
– If we are together, you will understand.

Flatty took Pepi’s hooves and said:
– Pepi, I want to be with you.
Pepi blinked her eyes and said:
– Let’s not talk about it now. I am hungry.
Flatty felt worried, but he realised that Pepi felt hurt and decided not to push on her.
The rest of the meeting was nice. They talked about other things. Pepi told him about her thereapy which made Flatty happy. He decided to meet Pepi again as soon as possible.
