One day children in Snoutland wake up and see that there is no snow.
– Oh, no! shouts Mild. Winter is over!
– I want to go sledding!
– I want to make a snowman!
– I want to ski!
– I want to make a snow angel!
– I want to skate! shout the pigs.
– We must call the winter back, says Frail.
– But how? asks Queasy.
– Let’s ask Percius, the Wizard, he lives in the forest, suggests Gamesome.
So the pigs call their friends from Gruntland, take the sport equipment and go to the forest. They find Percius there.
Hello kids, what brings you here? he asks.
– We want winter to come back! shout the children.
– Really?
– Yes, we want to do winter sports.
– I see. But winter can’t come back. This is the law of Nature, says Percius.
– Uhmmm. The piglets are very disappointed.
– But you can go back in time.
– Wow! Can we?! shout the children excited again.
– However it is dangerous.
– Why?
– Because you can’t meet yourselves from the past.
– Why can’t we?
– Because you from the past will be very scared. And you will have bad dreams.
– Ok, we will not meet ourselves, say the children.
– Are you sure?
– Yes!!!
– No, I am not, says Sporty. I already have bad dreams. I see myself and run away.
– Really?! shout the pigs.
– So you already did it, you travelled back in time, laughs Percius.
– Wow! oink the pigs.
– Come with me, says Percius.
The children follow him.
– This is the time machine, he shows. Have you got a coin?
– I’ve got a coin, says Sporty. But I don’t want to go back in time. I don’t want to have bad dreams, she opposes.
– Please give us the coin! asks Mild. In your dream you can talk with yourself. It is interesting, isn’t it?
– Hmmm, ok, it is a good idea, agrees Sporty and gives Mild the coin.
So the pigs insert the coin and go one week back in time.
They appear near Percius’s house. Percius is not at home. They ski, skate, sled, make a snowman, make a snow angel. They are happy.
After a few hours the pigs are hungry.
– Let’s go home for dinner says Frail.
– We can’t, shouts Sporty.
– Why?
– Because we will meet ourselves.
– Right, say the children.
– What shall we do? asks Frail.
– Let’s go shopping, suggests Mild. Who has got any money?
– Uhmmm. Nobody answers.
– Let’s come back to the future, everything is too complicated here, suggests Gamesome. Sporty, give us the coin, he asks.
– I haven’t got it, she answers.
– Why?! ask the children.
– I used it in the time machine, she explains.
– Oh no!!! shout the piglets in terror. We didn’t think about it… What shall we do now?
– Let’s look for a coin, suggests Queasy.
– But where?
– Near a shop. I found my coin near the supermarket, says Sporty. I can go there and find it now, she says.
– But then you from the past will not have it and we will not travel back in time and what about us here now? quickly notices Frail.
– Wow, that’s right, shout the pigs, this is dangerous.
– Let’s look for another coin, suggests Dainty.
The pigs go to a different shop. They are lucky. Queasy finds a coin. But suddenly Sporty sees herself walking to the supermarket.
– Oh no, she shouts. I remember this situation. I was shocked and later had nightmares.
– Don’t worry, you can talk to yourself in the dream, reminds Mild.
– Ok, Sporty calms down.
The pigs run away to the time machine. They come back to the future.
– I don’t want to travel in time anymore, says Gamesome to Percius.
The rest of pigs agree.
– It is too scary! they say.
Percius just smiles.
