A wild friend

It is another autumn in Gruntland. Kermit and Belly’s family are going for a walk to the forest. It is a sunny day. The leaves are colourful and beautiful. The pigs start to pick mushrooms.

Grunty walks deep into the forest. He says there are a lot of mushrooms there. But he gets lost.

  • Grunty, where are you?!  shouts Belly.

Suddenly Kermit sees a wild boar. The parents are scared. But the wild boar is friendly.

  • I am Luc, who are you? he says.

  • We are Kermit and Belly, can you help us? says Kermit.

  • What’s the matter? asks the wild boar.

  • Our son is lost, says Belly. Can you find him?

  • Yes, I can help you, says Luc. I will ask my friends for help.

  • Thank you very much. We are waiting, says Belly.

The wild boar walks deep into the forest. He calls his friends. They come and agree to help.  When they come, they start to sniff. After 10 minutes they find Grunty. He is sleeping. He was just tired. Luc says:

– Let’s go to Belly and Kermit, they worry about you.

  • We worried so much! cries Belly.

  • I’m sorry mum, answers Grunty.

The pigs want to thank Luc. Grunting likes singing. To say thank you for finding her brother she starts singing. But she isn’t a good singer.

Luc doesn’t like it and he starts to run away.

Grunting is surprised. She looks at mum and dad. They say:

  • Don’t worry, maybe he is in a hurry. Let’s collect some chestnuts for him.

The pigs collect chestnuts, acorns and flowers. They call Luc and he comes. Everybody gives him a present. Luc feels good and says:

  • Thank you friends! Don’t mention it!

This story was made up by my student Julia. The photos were taken in her garden. Thank you very much Julia!
