Hellen is a new gardener in Gruntland. She arrived at the village some months ago. She met Smarty and they liked each other. They are a strange couple – she wears casual clothes and is often dirty with soil, he is very elegant and likes pretty outfits.
Hellen grows different plants – vegetables, fruit, flowers and sells them. One plant is more special than the others, but Hellen doesn’t know about it.
One day Hellen and Smarty were watering that plant. It was a hard work because the plant was very big. When they finished the watering, it started to shine.
– What’s going on? shouted Helen.
– I don’t know, answered Smarty.
The plant made them blind. When they could see again they were in a strange town full of flowers.
– Where are we? asked Smarty.
They looked around and saw some writings in a foreign language which they didn’t know. Suddenly they saw a pig.
– Hi, they said, where are we, can you tell us?
– Hi,said the stranger, why don’t you know where you are?
– We were watering a plant and suddenly… we are here.
– Oh, you were watering the Travelian plant!
– What plant?
– When you care about this kind of plant it moves you to the place where you want to be.
– Wow, we didn’t know!
– Where did you get this plant from?
– One day it started to grow in our garden, so we took it home into a pot.
– You are very lucky, this plant is extremely rare, probably a bird brought its seed to your garden.
– Cool! But where are we now?
– In Prenzlau in Germany.
– Why here?
– Because there is a plant exhibition here and you love plants, don’t you?
– Oh fantastic, of course we do, let’s go and visit! shouted Hellen.
– Just one more thing, said Smarty, how can we come back?
– Oh, the plant transports you back when you say ‘Let’s go home’, explained the stranger.
– Easy, said Hellen, thank you!
Firstly they went to the Old Market with colourful plant pots. They saw rose sculptures which were really cool. They took pictures of them.
Then they crossed a bridge and entered the exhibition.
There were a lot of flowers. The pigs were impressed. They continued the walk among the flowers.
They walked and walked and they got to a garden full of orchids. It was fantastic.
Then they saw a bonsai garden.
– I must have such tree! Hellen shouted.
After that they went to a building full of flowers – orchids and yuccas, ferns and other plants. They were beautiful.
When they left the exhibition, they saw a cart and they wanted to have a ride. They approached the horses and asked for a ride. The horses agreed.
They took them to the place full of sculptures. They liked two sculptures very much – swans and sheep. They took the pictures and thanked the horses.
– I think we have seen everything. Let’s go home, said Hellen.
Before Smarty could say anything, they were at home.
– That was a precious adventure, said Smarty. Thank you Travelian!
– I wonder were our plant will take us for another trip, said Hellen.
– Hopefully it will be soon, said Smarty and smiled.
