Sara’s cure

Milly, Bob and Sarah live in Troughland. Sara is a very weak child. She is often sick and she doesn’t go to school. She doesn’t have many friends because she can’t run, play outside and do sports. Sara is very unhappy and her parents want to help her very much. She eats healthy food and she doesn’t watch TV too much nor plays video games. They go to different doctors but no one knows what is wrong with her.
One evening Sarah felt very bad so her parents took her to the doctor again. They had to walk through the forest. It was a very short way but… they got lost.
Suddenly they saw a big, strange castle.
– What is going on, asked dad Rob, where are we?
– It’s Halloween, shouted Sarah, I forgot.
– Is this castle a Halloween decoration? asked mum Milly.
– I don’t think so, said Rob, it is too realistic.
In front of the castle, they saw Jack o’ Lantern.
– Stop, who are you?! it asked.
The pigs were surprised.
– It is talking, said Milly. It is only a dream, she added to calm herself down.
– We can’t have the same dream, said Sara.
– Hmm, that’s right, said Milly.

At this moment the door opened and a strange couple of pigs came out of the castle.

– We know magic, and we can help your daughter they said.
– What? shouted mum Milly. You are psycho, she thought.
– No, said the second pig reading her mind, we aren’t.
– Oh, said the first pig, I forgot. My name is Clara and this is William.
– I’m Milly, and this is my husband Rob and our daughter Sarah, said mum just to be polite but she was a little bit scared.
– So, do you want our help? asked Clara.
– How do you know, our daughter needs help? asked mum.
– We told you, we know magic, and our magic mirror showed us that your family would get to our castle this special evening.
– Yes, please, said Rob, help our daughter. He didn’t want to discuss any further as he also felt strange.
– Ok, said William.
– You can help us take our cauldron outside, said Clara, we must brew a potion in the moonlight.
Mum Millie still thought they were mad but she wanted to help her daughter so much that she agreed. Outside the castle the hosts lit the fire and they placed the cauldron on it.

– You must turn around because it’s a secret recipe, said William.
When they turned around William and Clara started singing a scary song in a very strange language and the cauldron started to shine of the moonlight.

When they stopped singing Clara had a cup of a green liquid in her hoof.
– Done, said Clara, now you can drink this, Sarah.
– Sara hesitated a little but she drank this ugly beverage. It didn’t taste as bad as it looked.
The family felt a bit uncomfortable and confused with all this situation so they quickly thanked the hosts and went back home.
– That was really strange, said Millie, let’s go to sleep it’s late.

In the morning Sarah felt very good and she could run faster or jump higher.
– Let’s go visit Clara and William and thank them, said Rob.
They went the same path through the forest, but they couldn’t find the castle. They asked the pigs living in the neighborhood if they knew where the castle was. The pigs looked at them in a strange way.
– There has never been a castle here, what are you talking about? they asked.
Millie, Rob and Sarah felt confused. They didn’t want to carry on the conversation because the neighbors would think they went crazy. So they went back home and Sarah said silently:
— But I really feel healthy.
— We know, we believe you, said Rob, but we don’t know how to explain this fact. We are grateful and we will see what will happen.
Next Days Sarah felt better and better and one day she went to play volleyball with her friends.
Half a year later, she forgot she used to be sick and week.
