Handy visits Rosie. She is her friend. Rosie is sad. It is autumn and the days are short.
– I miss sun – says Rosie.
Handy wants to help. But how? She goes home. She meets Squirrel on the way back.
– Hello, how are you? – asks Squirrel.
– I’m fine, but my friend is sad – answers Handy. How can I help her?
– Bring me some nuts and I wil give you this mechanical lizard for your friend – says Squirrel.
– What lizard is it?
– You turn it on and it walks everywhere. It is funny.
– Good idea! – says Handy. But where can I find nuts?
– Behind my house.
– Oh, good. See you later!
Handy collects nuts. She goes back to Squirrel.
– Thank you, says Squirrel. Here is the lizard for your friend.
Handy takes the lizard and goes to Rosie.
– I have got something for you, Rosie! – she says.
– Thank you, what is it? – reacts Rosie.
– It is a mechanical lizard.
– What for?
– To comfort you. It is funny. Look!
Handy turns on the lizard and it climbs up Rosie’s leg. Rosie laughs.
– Let this lizard cheer you up!
– Thank you, you are a good friend Handy – says Rosie.
– I care for my friends.
When Rosie is sad, she plays with the lizard .
She decides to thank Squirrel. She takes a big pumpkin and goes to the forest.
This is for you, she says. I want to thank you for the lizard. I am happy now.
– You’re welcome Rosie. Thank you for the pumpkin – answers Squirrel.
