An interview with a wizard part I

Frail has got a homework to do. She needs to interview an interesting person. She chooses Percius, the wizard. He lives in the forest. Frail is a little bit scared but she goes to his cottage.
Percius knows that she is coming. He can see it in his magic glass ball and he tells all his animals about the guest. He asks them not to scare Frail. Animals sit around the table. There are: snakes, caterpillars, lizards, dragons, frogs and centipedes.
Frail knocks on the door. Percius opens the door and says:
– Hello Frail, I am waiting for you.
Frail’s eyes widen.
– Hi, how, how do you know about my visit? she stammers.
– I am a wizard, I know everything I need.
– Wow, says Frail.
When she sees the animals, she squeaks.
– It is ok, they are my friends, please sit down, Percius calms Frail down. I will answer all your questions. He tells the animals to move away a bit.
– Yes, I would like to interview you.
– Sure, I know. It is your homework.
He knows a lot about Frail’s future too. Frails thinks she can expect everything here. She is a bit scared but excited.

The interwiew starts.

– Why are you a wizard?
– Because I am lonely.
– Are you?!
– Yes, I am, but I don’t mind. I am lonely, so I have got a lot of time to read magic books.
– I understand, says Frail. Where do you take the magic books from?
– From the Hidden Library.
– Where is this library?
– It’s in the magic forest. An owl guards it. You need to tell the password to get in.
– How did you learn the password?
– From my grandmother. She told me it and she died.
– Wow, interesting! Does anyone else in Gruntland know the password?
– Yes, Sylvencia, the witch and Sphinx, the astrologist.
– I know them, exclaims Frail. Can I know the password too?
– Why do you want to know the password? asks Percius pretending not to know it.
– I am curious of magic.
– When the Magic Board of the Library agrees, you will learn the password.
– Who are they?
– Me, Sylvencia, Sphinx and some other pigs from other villages.
– So I may go to Sylvencia to talk to her, laughts Frail.
– Go to Sphinx, he will tell you something interesting.
– Ok, I will, thank you for the advice.
Why have you got so many weird animals at home? she continues the interview.
– They help me do magic.
– Really? How?
– Let me show you. Let’s go to the snakes.
– They are wild, I am afraid of them! opposes Frail.
– You don’t need to, come on!
Hi snankes, let’s play toghether, he says to the snakes.
– Sssssssure, answer the snakes.
They start to wind around Percius and Frail. Frail is scared but it is funny and she starts to laugh.

– Snakes give me their venom to my magic potions and they bring me books from the highest shelves of the library.
– But what do you give to them for that?
Percius smiles.
– Good question! I charm out food for them and they don’t have to hunt.
– Cool!
– Let’s go to the dragons now.
– Ok, great, I am not scared.

Dragons say:
– Fjad reilfa fjiszl a kjeksj jo hwkdladi.
– Hwkdladi swijala dskje al jdkier r adkdj.
– Hwkdladi swijala sdudfu skj su asj d ajd.
– Judss kudos whek a lkt? Percius asks.
– Jskjer! answers one dragon.
– Do you understand dragon’s language? asks Frail fascinated.
– Yes, I do!
– Wow, you are amazing.
Percius smiles to himself.
– So what are they talking about?
– I can breathe pink fire.
– My fire can light the candles of love.
– My fire changes water into steam very quickly. Percius translates.
– What are candles of love? asks Frail.
– You light them when you want somobody to fall in love.
– Wow, have you ever lit one? laughts Frail.
– No, I haven’t, answers Percius.
– Good to know such candles exist. What do you need to make the dragon light this candle?
– That’s not easy. I clean dragon’s skin of parasites with special potion.
– I see. What do you need the steam for? asks Frail.
– It is important when you make potions.
– That is very interesting.
– No doubts it is, agrees Percius. Let’s visit the lizards now.
