Frail remembered what Percius said about the astrologist. She asked her mum if she knew Sphinx.
– Of course I know, answered her mum. He lives nearby.
– I want to go to him.
– Oh, you want to have your horoscope read. What for?
– Uhmm… I have got some questions about life and relationships.
Frail’s mother understood teenage problems and didn’t want to ask her daughter too much. She gave her the address of Sphinx. Frail called him to make an appointment.
– Hello Frail, said Sphinx when she entered his office. What brings you here?
– I want to ask about something.
– Everyone wants to ask a question who comes here, laughed Sphinx.
– Right, laughed Frail and felt less stressed.
– What is your place, date and time of birth, my dear, asked Sphinx.
Frail’s mother prepared her for that question and gave her all those details, so she knew what to answer.
Sphinx typed the details into his computer program. On the computer screen appeared a circle with strange symbols.
– Is that my horoscope? Asked Frail.
– It looks strange, doesn’t it? Sphinx answered with a question.
– Yes, it does. What do these symbols mean?
– It is not easy to explain. It’s a lot of knowledge. I would have to explain it for many hours. But you haven’t come for this, have you?
– No, I haven’t.
– So, what is your question?
– Actually my friend told me I could come here. His name is Percius.
– Percius! Exclaimed Sphinx. We know each other. I think Percius wanted you to learn about your future. Probably he knows it himself.
– So why didn’t he tell me himself?
– I don’t know, you need to ask him, replied Sphinx. Give me some time, he asked and looked at the screen.
– Within a few years you are going to fall in love with somebody. This person will be older than you, started Sphinx.
Frail flinched in surprise.
– Do I know this person?
– I can’t tell you that because I don’t know.
– So what else can you tell me?
– It will be a sudden impulse. Some pigs will be against this relationship. But you shouldn’t give up. You will be happy with him.
– Does Percius know that male? Is that why he sent me here?
– I don’t know everybody whom he knows, young lady, I am reading your horoscope, not his.
Frail felt stupid.
Sphinx noticed it and corrected himself.
– I am sorry, I am too harsh. Percius may know him, or know that you will meet him. It doesn’t matter. He just wants you not to hesitate. But the future mostly depends on us and on our decisions, and even Percius may not know everything.
– So, even when I know it now, I may not be with that older male? Asked Frail.
– Of course, young lady, the horoscope shows some opportunities and possibilities. Only a few things must happen in our life. The rest are our decisions.
Frail felt confused. Sphinx looked at the screen again.
– Be careful with your friend. Said Sphinx after some moments of silence.
– Which friend? Can you say something more?
– I can’t see it. It is somebody close to you. It can also be someone from your family.
– What is that person going to do? Hurt me?
– You are going to have some health problems because of that person.
– Oh, it is a bit worrying.
– It is only a warning, you can prepare. When you are ill, don’t worry, it won’t be serious.
– Have you got any other questions, my dear?
– No, I think that is all, thank you Sphinx. I am overwhelmed anyway.
Frail went home and couldn’t sleep at night. She was thinking about the fortune telling.
– Who is going to hurt me? Is it my friend or my family member? What illness will it be? Who am I going to fall in love with? Do I have to marry that older male?
She fell asleep with many questions in her mind.
